1BigDatabase: The Launch!
Autumn 2007

We are very pleased to announce the official launch of the West Country's most comprehensive free directory of services for children, young people, families and those that work with them.

1BigDatabase provides information on groups, organisations and services for people living in Bristol, Bath, North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire, with topics including health, learning and skills, housing, arts and parenting.

Focus New Media have been working closely with a number of local authorities in order to make this information easily accessible for all. The web site includes a regularly updated events diary; a 'send to a friend' feature, allowing anyone to share the information at the click of a button; an easy-to-use registration form for organisations wanting to be included in the database; and a series of search functions to help you quickly find the information you’re looking for.

A quick search via the main directory has just revealed who can advise me on debt problems, where to get glass blown and what to do if I'm being bullied – all within a couple of mouse clicks!
